Antony is a doctor, Trevor is a project engineer and teacher, Roger is a retired teacher/lecturer and Tirke is a teacher. The quartet rehearses each week throughout the year, and since its inception in 2000 has received much support and coaching from professional players, including participation in residential masterclasses at Cambridge University directed by the Alberni String Quartet and at Benlsow, Hitchin, Herts, by the Wihan Quartet, Bingham Quartet and Maggini Quartet. The Isca Quartet receives many invitations to play all over the region.

The many concerts over the years have resulted in the development of a strong working relationship between the players and a corresponding expansion of the quartet's repertoire. The quartet has also teamed up with many other players to present a rich assortment of programmes. 

In 2013 we welcomed Tirke Linnemann to the quartet. Tirke is a most accomplished cellist who has had considerable experience playing in orchestras and ensembles including the famous Halle Orchestra. Tirke has brought with her fresh ideas and a rich resource of knowledge. She is a greatly valued member of the quartet. Tirke currently teaches in South Devon. 

Both the Isca Ensemble and Quartet are extremely proud to have helped with the development of many charities through the presentation of its concerts. Please contact the Isca String Quartet or the Isca Ensemble if you wish to engage it for a concert in your area.
